The first and pretty much only rule on this forum is: Don't annoy me.
If you're not sure what this means, basically I don't like giving out a check list of rules for users to mark off to make sure they're not doing inappropriate things for several reasons.
The first is that it gives people room to some how rule lawyer around things, thinking that as long as they don't do xyz then they haven't done anything wrong.
The second reason is because sometimes check-list style rules can be a little unclear, even when written aptly and frankly.
The third reason is because if you're so incapable of following the common sense rules of etiquette of a forum, I'd rather you did something stupid so I can hurry up and get rid of you.
All that said, it is not in my interest to punish people. If you did something I don't like, and I figure it wasn't intentional, I'll probably just give you a slight warning. If I think you're being a dickweed on purpose, however, expect the wrath of a thousand suns.
One major rule you must follow is not to post any explicit or illegal material.
Another one I'm very peevish about is spam. Don't double-post unless you have a pretty good reason, use the edit button. And do not bump a thread more than once. |
